Just keep driving –
We just left Cheaha State Park in Delta, which is the oldest park in Alabama. The road to the campground was compared to Deal’s Gap in NC, which is 318 curves in 11 miles. I think that was exaggerating just a bit, but the road was curvy and steep. I think I forgot to mention; this is also the highest point in Alabama. There was a Buckle Up road sign, and my daughter yelled, “Did you see that? It said buckle up; it’s going to be bad!” I had to explain that was because it is the law, not like buckle up buttercup.” LOL.
We explored the Bunker tower which is 2,407 feet in elevation. Now you know, I had to go up to the highest point. There was actually an X on the ceiling of the upper floor, marking the spot. My bunch does not like heights, of any sort really. My husband was out on the first set of stairs. My daughter went to the top, half-willingly and half-coached. It felt like you could see forever.

Security rolled by one evening and stopped, rolled down his window, and slowly backed up with his K-9 barking the entire time. He is intrigued by my daughter’s Honda Navi. He says he has been looking at them and thinks they would be fun. I can only see in the window, but he appears to be an above average sized male. My husband says, “How tall are you boy?” “6 feet”, he replies. My husband says “Well, you’re going to be cramped.” I can’t take him anywhere!
Our neighbor was living this morning in a class C. He hit the firepit ring and flipped it completely over. The grate was on the bottom, and ashes were just lying there on the ground. It made a loud BAM, and he had to have felt that. He just kept on driving like nothing happened, all while waving enthusiastically.
We are starting to think the movie RV was a documentary!!
